ASTA - American Society of Travel Agents is the largest association in the world of Travel Professionals. “ASTA is the organization for anyone related to the travel industry!”

ARTA – Association of Retail Travel Agents is a well known association of travel professionals throughout the USA and Canada which started in 1962.

Unacceptable Travel Merchants

The only unacceptable Travel industry comprises the sale of travel certificates or coupons.

Discount travel certificates or coupons give a cardholder wonderful deals on hotels, condos, cruises, travel packages, air flight, film and rental cars. Cardholders will often pay a great deal to buy them. In fact, most cardholders have to purchase a business opportunity first containing the discount coupons, which they can use or resell. Legitimate travel providers who help make the travel experience successful often back the coupons and certificates.

However, because of the business opportunity aspect, no merchant account processors will accept them at this time.
